Five dishonored soldiers.
Former Special Forces.
One last mission.
These are the men of Hard Ink.

Ever since hard-bodied, drop-dead-charming Shane McCallan strolled into the dance club where Crystal Dean works, he's shown a knack for getting beneath her defenses. For her little sister's sake, Crystal can't get too close. Until her job and Shane's mission intersect, and he reveals talents that go deeper than she could have guessed.

Shane would never turn his back on a friend in need, especially a former Special Forces teammate running a dangerous, off-the-books operation. Nor can he walk away from Crystal. The gorgeous waitress is hiding secrets she doesn't want him to uncover. Too bad. He's exactly the man she needs to protect her sister, her life, and her heart. All he has to do is convince her that when something feels this good, you hold on as hard as you can--and never let go.

Hard As You Can picks right up where Hard As It Gets left off with the guys grabbing Charlie from a sleazy strip club where they run into Crystal and there is an instant attraction between her and Shane.

Crystal is trapped in a world of her father’s making. She is working off his debts working as a waitress in a strip club called Confessions. Crystal works hard to save money so she and her little sister, Jenna, can run away. The plan is for Crystal to suffer through her work and relationship with gang-banger, Bruno, for 8 more months until Jenna graduates from college. But Jenna has no idea what Crystal is doing for her. She thinks that Bruno is a great guy until Jenna starts noticing the bruises on Crystal.

Shane is a yummy “good old southern boy”. He’s one of the six Special Forces guys we meet in Hard As It Gets. Shane is just alpha enough to want to protect and care for Crystal but knows when to back off so that he doesn’t scare her. He’s a great mix of strong and soft.

Hard As You Can is an enjoyable romantic suspense read where the hero and heroine are both living in their own personal hells because of the people they love. Together they teach each other how to live and love in a heartwarming and sultry romance.

I can’t wait to see which of the guys gets their HEA next.
