Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1)

My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy; a school of myths, magic and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody's head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest. But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things. Freaky stuff like this goes on all the time at Mythos, but I'm determined to find out who killed Jasmine and why; especially since I should have been the one who died...

About Dannika

This is the segment where you learn a little more about who I am, so here’s what I can tell you: I drink copious amounts of vitamin water placed precariously close to my laptop while writing. These are two healthy habits I have no intention of breaking. I’m a transplant living in the south, but I was born in the 70’s to a military dad who moved us around the world.

When I’m not writing (which is all the time), I’m hunting down Indie music, watching movies, reading, eating Tex-Mex, discovering new ways to humiliate myself bowling, and burning up my laptop battery on the Internet. I have a relaxed, easy-going personality and don’t like drama. I live with a cat who thinks she is a dog, or a goat (she eats plastic, so I’m not sure which).

Throughout my life, I’ve had insomnia. Counting sheep never worked and eventually I would imagine those sheep were the sole source of food after an apocalyptic battle where only thousands survived. I made up stories in a futile attempt to bore myself to sleep. The problem was, I got so wrapped up in my “head stories” that I would continue them through the following nights, changing it up each time to make it more exciting. Eventually, I started writing my ideas down – creating short stories, and then I discovered my love for poetry.

It’s almost embarrassing how many spiral notebooks and stacks of paper I have of poetry and lyrics.
Another passion: digital art. I design all my book covers, marketing, and series art. I’m a very visual person and pursued photography as an avid hobby for many years.

I am not a YA author (I feel like I have to state this only because I’ve had a few people ask), but I think it’s wonderful there are so many books available to teens in Urban Fantasy and Paranormal.

I am finally doing what I have always wanted to do: giving my characters a pulse through writing full time. I focus on adult urban fantasy romance, but I don’t like labels and I enjoy blending genres to break out of the confines of predictability.

But it’s what I love to do.

Naya James is a confident woman who also happens to be an exotic dancer. She doesn’t care if people judge her, just so long as they don’t disrespect her. Life has been good, but when two dancers from her club are kidnapped, Naya risks everything to uncover the truth.

Wheeler is the black sheep of the family, evident from his extensive tattoo collection to his dark personality. Nothing like his twin brother, Ben, who can do no wrong. Wheeler’s pack loyalty is put to the test when Austin orders him to act as a bodyguard for a woman he’s despised for years—one who presses his buttons every chance she gets.

A dark secret unravels, uniting two enemies and threatening to fracture the brotherhood of the pack. A tortured soul, a violent past, a fiery romance, and a shocking twist that will leave you breathless.

I simply adored the author and narrator team of Dannika Dark and Nicole Poole so I love returning to the Seven Serieson audio. This time around I got to listen toWheeler’s story in Three Hours.

Wheeler and Naya have been fighting like cats and dogs ever since they meet a couple of years ago (yes Dannika fast forward a couple of years and I’m so excited because Mazie is getting older and I just know that she and Denver will get together by the end of the series) but I’m getting ahead of myself we are here to talk about Wheeler and Naya.

There’s a good reason the two fight like cats and dogs, it because Wheeler is a grumpy wolf and Naya is a sexy panther but no one knows what her animal is. They have bets in the Weston Pack that she is some kind of cat. But Naya keeps her animal secret because there is a long prejudice in the shifter world against panthers. It goes back to the days where shifters

Wheeler comes off as well, an asshole. He is never smiles is quick to be snarky and keeps to himself. He’s seen as the black sheep of the Weston Pack. Total opposite of his twin brother Ben, who is a big flirt and easy-going. But the twins share a past that no one else in the Pack knows about and I gained mad respect for Wheeler once the truth was let out.

Wheeler really is the walking and talking example of why you shouldn’t judge someone by the way they look. He may look mean with all his tattoos and surly attitude but he has a huge heart and Naya is the one that sees it and brings it out for everyone else to see.

Nicole Poole continues to bring and A+ performance with Three Hours. Her voice and timber is wonderful for both female and male voices. She really brings Dark’s world and characters to life. The Seven series is an audio only series for me.

I’m kicking JIAM 2015 off with a list of my favorite male narrators. I’ve not listened to many audios performed by male narrators but I do have a few that are must listens.

  • Robert Petkoff – Petkoff brings so much life to the characters that I can’t bring myself to experience the books any other way but on audio. He does the female character justice and his accents for the male characters are just panty dropping good!  (interview from 2014, reviews)
  • Luke Daniels -Daniels does a fabulous job with both romance and urban fantasy performances. And he has the best Irish Wolfhound voice ever! (interview from 2014, reviews)
  • Roger Wayne – Roger Wayne came out of no where for me. I was hooked on his narration of Charming by Elliott James, within 20 minutes of listening. He did an outstanding job with everything. I see that he is branching out into romance and I can’t wait to listen to one of those titles.
  • MacLeod Andrews – MacLoed brings the Sandman Slim series to life with his gritty performance. (interviewfrom 2014)
  • Fred Berman – Great work on The Walking Dead books. He has a great voice for Post Apocalyptic and dark stories. He also get a great job with Gil’s All Fright Diner. He does well with an all male cast listen.
  • Jonathan Cole – Great British accent (not sure if it’s real or not but I love it) I simply adore Cole’s work onBeautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren. I look forward to listening to more of his work.
  • Sebastian York – GREAT snarky and cocky voice for those bastard like characters. LOVE York’s work on Emma Chase’s Tangled series and the Beautiful Bastard series. I have tons more of audios narrated by Sebastian on my TBR. He is always fun to listen to and he’s voice is damn sexy.

Fiona Fine is the hottest fashion designer in Bigtime, N.Y.—literally. That's because she moonlights as Fiera, a superhero with superstrength and volatile, fire-based powers. As Fiera, she's also a member of the Fearless Five, the city's most powerful and popular superhero team.

However, Fiona's been through a lot lately, including the death of her fiancé, who was murdered by an ubervillain. But Fiona is ready to move on with her life, so it seems like good karma when she meets sexy businessman Johnny Bulluci at a friend's wedding.

But Fiona has little time to think of love thanks to Siren and Intelligal—the city's newest ubervillains who crash the wedding and then go on a city-wide crime spree. Fiona doesn’t know exactly what the ubervillains are up to, but if she doesn't figure it out, she's the one who just might go up in flames this time....

Read It, Track It is a way for me to track books for my reading challenges and they will be super short.

If you’re a fan of Estep’s Elemental Assassin series then you will recognize the name Fiona Fine as the fashion designer that Fin loves to wear. In Hot Mama we get to learn about the designer that can throw fireballs.

Fiona is a fashion diva and a bit of a diva in the superhero world as Fiera. After loosing her fiancé to an ubervillain  a year ago she gets a second chance at love with the new superhero Johnny Angel. Their romance is super hot but that should be no surprise when you get a diva and playboy together.

I enjoyed getting to know Fiona more. She’s more than a diva underneath.

Hot Mama continues the campy fun of the Bigtime series and if you’re looking for a fun and light read you should check the series out. Estep does a great job recapping the events in the first book, Karma Girl so you could pick upHot Mama with no problems.

Caroline and Jason Stratton have always been hot for each other. Married right out of college, they’ve had a great sex life. But when they discover that their best friends and neighbors, Piper and Michael Collins, have experimented with a few extracurricular adventures during their ten year marriage, Caroline and Jace’s sexual world is rocked.

The Strattons quickly find that inviting others into their bedroom might be something they want to explore. But getting Caroline to reconcile her Southern guilt is another matter altogether. So they decide to take it deliciously slow, exploring every avenue.

Their adventures lead them to Emma and Pete, and after a fun, sexy dinner date out, and an incredibly hot car ride home, they’re in. But once they decide to scale that mountain, all bets are off. In the end, Caroline must make a decision—and it’s one she’ll have to live with forever.

*This book is ridiculously sexy, filled with high-octane moments between the couple as they figure out what makes them tick. The book contains: explicit sex, voyeurism, and light couple swap. **There is no cheating, everything is consensual between all participants.

what drew me to what caroline wants?

It’s about a married couple! I’ve not read many in fact I can only think of one book I read about a married couple. Most romances (at least the ones I read) are couples getting together and working toward a HEA. So What Caroline Wantswas a refreshing read for me. I loved seeing how a happily married couple worked through their sexual needs as a couple.

After being married for so long your sex life can get a little boring if you don’t work at it. And Caroline and Jason really worked!

why i read what caroline wants in one sitting?

After I was pulled into reading What Caroline Wants, I kept reading until 1am because of the characters. I really connected with Caroline and Jason. Here you have a married couple that’s been together for nine years and married for five of those years. They love each other so much and it comes through in Abbott’s writing.

Caroline was brought up in a very religious house and has all kinds of guilt about sex. Even after being with Jason for nine years he is still having to slowly bring out her sexuality. Jason is much more open about sex so he balances out Caroline very well.

Like many people Caroline has fantasy that she thought would never be played out. But through her loving relationship with Jason her needs are met and she is brought to a whole new level of living but it’s an emotional ride for the couple as they deal with their guilt after one amazing night with another couple.

who i would recommend reading what caroline wants?

I won’t spoil you but just so you know there is no spouse swapping or group orgies in What Caroline Wants. So if you are looking for a romance between a married a couple that’s seeking a little supplement in their sex life then you will enjoy Caroline and Jason’s journey into a new world of pleasure. And if you enjoy hot sex scenes with real emotion you should give What Caroline Wants a read.

Carolyn Crane keeps toping each book with the next! I have a new favorite in the Associates series and it’s Behind the Mask.

One thing I really love about this series is that each book could be read as a stand alone. There’s not an over all building plot to the series and each book as a different couple. So far there’s not be any cameos from pervious couples but there are some the single Associate men can be found in all the books.

Why Is Behind The Mask My New Favorite?

Zelda and Hugo

what i loved

I really loved that Ms. Crane gave us a great balance between the action and romance this time around. I felt likeBehind the Mask was a perfect example of what romantic suspense should be. Neither the romance or the suspense over powered the other element.

The back story that Zelda, Hugo and even Paolo had been just heartbreaking. They all have had a hard life and they came through it stronger and warriors. All three needed help learning what love and family is. They all helped each other find what they were missing and really became a family.

the heat

Zelda and Hugo’s attraction was muy caliente. They were drawn to each other at the beginning by the attraction but as they spent time together it grew into something much more than just action fueled lust. This is going to be corny but they really saw into each other’s souls and I felt it all as I was reading.

the action

The fight scenes made my emotions running on high alert. I felt like I was “watching” an action movie.

WOW seeing Kabakas aka Hugo in action with his blades. Bad. Ass. Think Zorro but hotter and deadlier. But Hugo doesn’t have all the action fun. Zelda might be a retired field agent but she has some moves of her own.

more please!

I’ve burned through Carolyn Crane’s Associates series and now I’m sad that I have to wait for the next one. I hoping for Rio or Dax to be the lead in the next book.

Small-town biz wiz Jill Hale has been in love with her childhood best friend Brian McConnell for as long as she can remember. A falling out led to years of estrangement, but when Brian returns to Dare Valley after trying to make it big as a chef in New York City, Jill's determined to make amends. She's convinced that starting a restaurant together will be the perfect win-win situation, allowing her and Brian to work together and play together.

Five Reasons To Fall For FRENCH ROAST’S Hero

So, hi there, I’m Ava Miles, the author of the bestselling small-town series called Dare Valley. I’m delighted to share that FRENCH ROAST is now available in audiobook. Thanks to The Book Nympho for hosting me and this awesome giveaway. I have 25—that’s right—25 audiobook copies of FRENCH ROAST available. I hope you’ll enter.

My hero, Brian McConnell is a French-trained chef and has been living in New York City working in a Michelin-star restaurant until he mysteriously returns to his hometown, the charming Dare Valley, Colorado. Jill is the small town biz wiz, who runs the most popular coffee shop in town, Don’t Soy with Me. Yes, that’s the name of her place. Jill has quite a sense of humor, and after seeing her sister find her own NORA ROBERTS LAND in book one of the series, she’s ready to find her own happily ever after with Brian.

Brian and Jill were best friends growing up until Jill wanted more, and Brian kind of did too, but then he had to leave Dare for The Culinary Institute of America. Having Brian leave broke Jill’s heart, so when he returns, they have to work through her past hurt and begin new. Of course, all the secrets he’s hiding about what happened in New York begin to surface, which ends up testing the bonds of their new friends-to-lovers relationship.

Now let me tell you why you’re going to fall for him!

  1. In my mind, Brian is the twin of Henry Cavill from The Tudor’s and Superman. Can we say steamy hot?
  2. He loves cooking anything from chicken fricassee to tapas for Jill. Who doesn’t love a hero who can cook?
  3. There’s his bulldog named Mutt, cutest canine imaginable. Ah, guys and dogs.
  4. He lets the heroine teach him how to dance. So sexy.
  5. He makes Jill laugh like crazy. I love a funny hero.

All in all, Brian is one incredible hero.

and since it’s summer, brian wanted to share one of his favorite salads with you.

WATERCRESS SALAD a L‘ORANGE
Wash the fresh watercress and lightly snap the stems into smaller pieces. Peel either a regular orange or a blood orange (preferred) and remove the fruit from the inside of the skin by placing a delicate cut across the top of the orange segment. Then arrange artfully on top of the delicate leaves. Make the pecans.
Honey Bourbon Pecans
1 cup pecans
1/8 cup honey
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon bourbon

Add ingredients to a shallow pan and cook over medium heat until the mixture foams and coats the nuts, about 3-4 minutes, careful not to burn the mixture. Spread the nuts onto a buttered piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet and cook in the over at 375 degrees for 5-6 minutes, watching the color of the nuts. You want them toasty brown. Once finished, set onto a wire rack and let cool for 30 minutes. Add to the top of the salad and enjoy.

I hope you’ll enter for a chance to win a FRENCH ROAST audiobook and take a trip to the awesome small town of Dare Valley.

What Dead Would Darynda Jones Like To Have Dinner With? #Giveaway

What dead would Darynda Jones like to have dinner with?

DINNER WITH THE DEAD

Of course, my top picks for a dinner party with those who have preceded us into the afterlife would consist exclusively of writers. While this list is nowhere near exhaustive, this dinner would be a dream come true.

AYN RAND

The first book I read by Ms. Rand was a dystopian called Anthem, and it just blew me away. I’d never read anything like it. Been rather obsessed by her ever since.  Besides being a novelist, Ayn was a philosopher, a playwright, and a screenwriter, and she developed her own philosophical vision and movement called Objectivism. I’d invite her to dinner to ask her about her extraordinary life, her migration from Russia to the US in the 1920s, and her many philosophies that made up the strong, independent fiber of her being.

RAY BRADBURY

I think Ray Bradbury was the first writer I read where I really took note of the writing itself instead of just the story. I was in high school and I remember being stunned by his prose. The clarity of ingenuity of it. He wrote so eloquently that I sometimes forgot it was fiction and that I wasn’t living in the world he’d created. I wanted to be him for a long time. Wrong gender, but one can dream. If I had the chance, I would pick Mr. Bradbury’s brain about writing in general and ask if he could give me a cover quote for my next release. JK!

MAYA ANGELOU

This was one amazing lady. Besides being an incredible author, Ms. Angelou was a poet, biographer, journalist, memoirist, essayist, children’s book writer, musician, dancer, filmmaker, director, scriptwriter, civil rights activist, and the list goes on and on. She even wrote a cookbook. She worked with Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr. She recorded albums, toured in plays, directed films, danced on television. Add to that the fact that she was a single mom in the South back when neither was looked upon kindly, and her achievements are even more phenomenal. How many writers do you know who have won three Grammys, were awarded 50 honorary degrees, and were nominated for a Tony and a Pulitzer? At dinner, I think I would be too busy fangirling to talk much.

EDGAR ALLAN POE

Mr. Poe was one of the first authors I read as a child, which could explain a lot. Known mostly for his mysterious and macabre short stories, Poe was the first well-known American writer to earn a living through his writing alone. Sadly, he was a gambler, so his life was strife with financial difficulties. But he did it! He quite the day job and wrote full time! I think I’d start there at dinner, or is that considered crass?

JANE AUSTEN

And this brings me to the ultimate, the superlative, the epitome of writers I worship: the lovely and talented Jane Austen. Seriously, if I had a chance to meet just one writer, it would be Jane. We’d probably get on famously. She’d laugh at my jokes. I’d pet her hair. And we would be best friends forever and ever and ever. That’s not creepy, right? In my own defense, she did create the bone-dissolving Mr. Darcy. You can understand why I feel this way about her, yes? The fact that I tried to change my name to Darcy in high school says it all. I love her. I love her with every fiber of my being. I would bear her children if that were anatomically and posthumously possible. Would that I could time travel. I wonder if they had restraining orders in early 1800s England.

what about you? what 5 dearly departed would you choose to have dinner with?

HE’S WORKING FOR THE GOOD GUYS. THAT DOESN’T MEAN HE’S ONE OF THEM.

HE’S A KILLER.
Thorne McKelvey knows exactly how Nadia sees him—as a brute and a killer just kinky enough to play her sexy games. And that’s how it has to stay. Leaving her was the hardest thing he ever did, but his undercover mission could blow up at any second. No way will he drag Nadia down with him.

SHE CAN’T RISK HER HEART.
Maybe it was foolish to fall in love with her late father’s deadliest henchman, but Nadia Volkov’s not sorry; without Thorne she wouldn’t have their beautiful little boy. There’s nothing she won’t do to protect Benny, which means she must hide his identity—especially from his father.

Now Thorne has burst back into her home, searching for clues to a gangland mystery…and stirring a hunger Nadia hasn’t felt in two years. But Benny’s identity isn’t the only secret she’s keeping, and things are turning deadly. Can Thorne and Nadia trust each other long enough to stay alive and have a chance at happiness?

Yeah, he was my least favorite element of Thorne’s story. Apparently Thorne lived and fought by the Bruce Lee code. It was cheesy and got on my nerves pretty quickly. But that’s my only complaint about Into the Shadows, every thing else was great!

I had so many feelings while reading Into the Shadows. There was hot feelings during the sexy times, there was laughing, there was near tears and there was OMFG did he just do that?!

So Thorne is the bad boy of The Associates group. He doesn’t play well with others and most of that is due to the fact that the others don’t know he’s part of their team. Thorne is in deep undercover where only the leader of the group knows about him working for The Associates.

Thorne has a really crappy childhood and it’s caused him not to trust people and think that he is the lowest of the low. Nadia comes into his life and they fall in love with each other while he is undercover working with her dad. But neither has told the other they love them and things are done and said that break them apart. Two years later they are back in each others lives and they are still in love but some their old issues are still getting in the way of their HEA.

Thorne and Nadia are so touching in their trip to find that HEA. I’ve not rooted for a couple this hard in a long time. And Carolyn Crane’s writing had me on the emotional rollercoaster with them.

The Audio

I listened to the audio through chapter five then I switched over to the ebook of Into the Shadows. Romy Nordlinger has a nice voice and I’m sure I would enjoy her narration on a different story but I couldn’t get into her performance for Into the Shadows. Some narrators are prefect for some genres but not for others and I just feel like Romy wasn’t the right pick for romantic suspense. She wasn’t forceful enough with the male voices for my liking and it kept me from really getting into the story. I kept tuning out the audio.

CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF . . . VIRGIN HEROES

Can’t Get Enough of . . .  is a new monthly feature here at The Book Nympho where we give you lists of books that are similar either by topic, genre, character types, etc. You can find new posts mid-month on Friday.

(Points up to the graphic . . . all that unused wood)

If you read romances you’ve read your share of virgin heroines. There are tons out there and even series that focus mostly on them. But virgin or inexperienced heroes there doesn’t seem to be as many out there. Here’s a list of some I’ve read.

Much like the sex scenes when a virgin heroine looses her v-card, the sex is 90% of the time fantastic and doesn’t hurt. And as much as that is unbelievable so is it when virgin heroes are sex gods their first time. But hey, it’s fiction and we would swoon over awkward virginal heroes, right?

AdamSoulbound by Kristen CallihanHeart of Iron

Adam stayed a virgin due to his religion

ThronosDark Skye by Kresley Cole

Again another hero saving himself due to his beliefs

Will CarverHeart of Iron by Bec McMasters

Will stays away from women because of his Verwolfen (werewolf) nature.

Conrad WrothDark Needs at Night’s Edge by Kresley Cole

PhuryLover Enshrined by J.R. Ward

It’s been so long since I read Lover Enshrined I don’t remember why Phury waited so long to pop his cherry.

RamseyDesperately Seeking Shapeshifter by Jessica Sims

Ramsey is a bear shifter and stays to himself. Making it hard to get experience with women.

Hector DeanDark Taste of Rapture by Gena Showalter

Hector stay a blushing virgin due to his cursed hands.

Roman DraganestiHow to Marry a Millionaire Vampire by Kerrelyn Sparks

Virgin in the sense of human terms… What? So vampires have mental sex in Sparks’ series. They believe that physical sex is gross and unnecessary.

Judd LaurenCaressed by Ice by Nalini Singh

John MatthewLover Mine by J.R. Ward

Seems that Kresley Cole and J.R. Ward has a thing for virgin heroes.

female virgins are over done imo but what about male virgins?

Do you have any fave virginal heroes not my list?

SHE MAY BE HIS WORST ENEMY…
For deadly secret agent Peter Macmillan, language is a weapon—one he uses to hunt criminals, destroy plots, and charm enemies. Seducing information out of a beautiful singer in Bangkok hotel should be easy…except this particular singer has the power to destroy his cool façade, and with it, his last defense against a dark past.

HE MAY BE HER ONLY HOPE…
He tricked her. He helped himself to her body and her secrets. He has enemies everywhere. Laney Lancaster should hate Peter, but when she discovers him shirtless, sweaty, and chained up in the hotel’s dungeon, all she can think about is freeing him. Because she knows what it’s like to be trapped and alone. And she could use a dangerous friend.

They may be wrong for each other, but the instant they join forces, Laney and Peter are plunged into an odyssey of hot sex and dark danger. To survive, they must trust each other with their lives—and their hearts.

The suspense in Off the Edge takes center stage. With the mission and running from Laney’s ex the action and emotions run high. But don’t worry there’s enough romance and sexy to keep romance lovers happy.

Laney is an american living in Bangkok. Sounds exotic, right? Yeah it would be if she wasn’t hiding from her ex. Then she meets a handsome stranger that knows all the right things to say and is deadly as hell.

Peter is in Bangkok on a mission with the Association, a top-secret group working to take down evil people. And he knows all the right things to say because he’s a linguistics expert. He can hunt people down by their voices and they way they talk.

Laney and Peter’s attraction is super hot and they are just what the other needs. Peter needs help letting go and opening up. Laney helps him do that. Laney needs help learning to be a little closed off when it’s called for and Peter helps her see that. There really is a balance to the two when they are together.

So far each book in the Associates series by Carolyn Crane could be read as a stand alone. Some of the secondary characters show up but you wouldn’t be lost if you started with Off the Edge.

Next please! I’m now reading book 3, Into the Shadows.

Welcome to Gil's All Night Diner, where zombie attacks are a regular occurrence and you never know what might be lurking in the freezer....

Duke and Earl are just passing through Rockwood county in their pick-up truck when they stop at the Diner for a quick bite to eat. They aren't planning to stick around-until Loretta, the eatery's owner, offers them $100 to take care of her zombie problem. Given that Duke is a werewolf and Earl's a vampire, this looks right up their alley. But the shambling dead are just the tip of a particularly spiky iceberg.

Seems someone's out to drive Loretta from the Diner, and more than willing to raise a little Hell on Earth if that's what it takes. Before Duke and Earl get to the bottom of the Diner's troubles, they'll run into such otherworldly complications as undead cattle, an amorous ghost, a jailbait sorceress, and the terrifying occult power of pig-latin. And maybe - just maybe - the End of the World, too.

Gory, sexy, and flat-out hilarious, Gil's All Fright Diner will tickle your funnybone - before ripping it out of its socket!

Read It, Track It is a way for me to track books for my reading challenges and they will be super short.

I’ve wanted to read Gil’s All Fright Diner for a while now. My husband has it on his bookshelf but after I saw it was available on audio and that Fred Berman was the narrator I had to request it from the library.

Gil’s All Fright Diner features an unlikely couple of friends, Earl (vampire) and Duke (werewolf). These two rednecks drive into town and find themselves in the middle of zombies, ghouls and some freaky black magic going on.

Next time I’m in the mood for quirky I’ll be picking up another A. Lee Martinez book!
